EXCHANGE CONTROL (CONTINUANCE) ACT, 1974

AN ACT TO CONTINUE IN OPERATION THE EXCHANGE CONTROL ACT, 1954 . [30th July, 1974]

		BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:
[GA]	Continuance of Exchange Control Act, 1954.	1. —The following subsection is hereby substituted for section 2 (2) of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 , as amended by section 1 of the Exchange Control (Continuance) Act, 1970 :
[GA]		“(2) This Act shall continue in operation until the 31st day of December, 1978, and shall then expire.”.
[GA]	Short title and collective citation.	2. —(1) This Act may be cited as the Exchange Control (Continuance) Act, 1974.
[GA]		(2) The Exchange Control Acts, 1954 to 1970, and this Act may be cited together as the Exchange Control Acts, 1954 to 1974.
