TWENTY-FIRST AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION ACT, 2001 | ||||||||
AN ACT TO AMEND THE CONSTITUTION. [27th March, 2002] | ||||||||
WHEREAS by virtue of Article 46 of the Constitution any provision of the Constitution may be amended in the manner provided by that Article: | ||||||||
AND WHEREAS it is proposed to amend Articles 13, 15, 28 and 40 of the Constitution: | ||||||||
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS: | ||||||||

Amendment of Articles 13, 15, 28 and 40 of the Constitution. |
1. —(a) The amendments to Articles 13, 15, 28 and 40 of the Constitution which are set out in Part 1 of the Schedule to this Act shall be made in the Irish text. | ||||||
[GA] | (b) The amendments to those Articles which are set out in Part 2 of the Schedule to this Act shall be made in the English text. | |||||||
[GA] | (c) Article 15.5 of both texts shall be numbered as Article 15.5.1° and subsections 6° and 7° of Article 40.4 of both texts shall be numbered as subsections 5° and 6° respectively. | |||||||

Citation. |
2. —(1) The amendment of the Constitution effected by this Act shall be called the Twenty-first Amendment of the Constitution. | ||||||
[GA] | (2) This Act may be cited as the Twenty-first Amendment of the Constitution Act, 2001. |
